Wind-Driven Artwork Comes to Life at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
The Kinetic Art of Lyman has arrived at the Dallas Arboretum! Whitaker is the most recognized creator of kinetic art, and his copper wind spinners are mesmerizing juxtaposed with the beautiful gardens.
Each piece of artwork, driven by the wind, is organic in nature and dependent upon its natural surroundings to provide their movement. The sculptures range in height from 5 to 27 feet tall and are displayed in groupings throughout the garden for viewing. Whitaker says, “The garden is a perfect venue for my pieces. Since they are derived from plant forms, they feel at home among plants.”
The exhibition is made possible by Leopold Gallery, which represents Lyman Whitaker and is handling purchases with a portion benefiting the Dallas Arboretum.
At Larkspur at Twin Creeks Apartments in Allen, Texas, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
